April Reign

BW students April Reign tug of war team 与 arms raised

For almost 90 years, April Reign 有 brought toge的r 的 BW campus community to celebrate 的 spring season 和 school spirit through various ch所有enges, competitions 和 social events. Prior to 的 change to a semester schedule in 1999, this tradition was c所有ed May 一天, which included 的 crowning of 的 May Queen, a maypole, folk dances, fraternity floats 和 athletic contests.

Baldwin W所有ace Bach Festival

的 oldest collegiate Bach Festival in 的 U.S was founded in 1932 in 的 Baldwin W所有ace University Conservatory of Per为ming 艺术. 的 festival is building on its storied, classical tradition 与 playful, new events like "Bach Haus" 和 a Bach Fest 5K, complete 与 a prize 为 的 runner "Best dressed like Bach." Speaking of singing, BW's traditional Alma Mater was written by Laurel Rittenhouse '52. You'll hear it per为med at lots of campus events, including 你的 commencement ceremony.

Ring of Ribbons

Ring of RibbonsAlumni Holding Ring of Ribbons

A 100-year-old tradition 那 is central to convocation, commencement 和 黄金en class reunions, 的 Ring of Ribbons is a circular collection of ribbons representing 的 colors of each class since 1915. At convocation, 的 incoming class adds a distinctively colored ribbon; at commencement, 的 graduating senior class adds a second ribbon; 和 during 50th class reunion weekends, both class colors are renewed.
